The Farm Eggsperience

Step into the magic of Hoot’s Hollow Farm for an unforgettable hands-on farm adventure designed especially for children and families who love animals, creativity, nature, and memory-making experiences.

The Farm Eggsperience is much more than a simple farm tour — it is a fully guided interactive experience where guests are invited to connect with the animals, explore the farm, and create keepsake memories together.

During your 2–2.5 hour Eggsperience, your family or group will enjoy:

🐓 Inside-the-Coop Animal Encounters
Go into the coop to hold, pet, and cuddle our gentle chickens, bunnies, and quail while learning how to safely interact with farm animals.

🎨 Ceramic Farm Animal Plaque Painting
Each guest will paint a beautiful 3-D ceramic farm animal plaque to take home — a special keepsake and wonderful family bonding activity.

🐔 Meet the Flock
Visit our large flock of over 300 colorful egg layers and learn how to identify the rooster while discovering fun facts about chickens and farm life.

🐴 Horseback Riding Adventure & Horsemanship Experience
Meet Hoot and Odin and learn how to safely approach, pet, feed, and interact with horses. Guests will participate in a guided horseback riding adventure where children learn beginner horsemanship skills including steering, stopping, backing up, and building confidence around horses.

🏡 The Enchanted Cottage Adventure
Children will follow an interactive egg hunt trail to the enchanted cottage of Mr. Chicken and follow a secret message to unlock the door and fish for treasure inside.

🚜 Tractor Driving Experience
Children will have the opportunity to learn to drive the tractor and operate the bucket alongside guided instruction.

Complimentary cookies are included for guests, and chips and drinks are available for purchase for $1 each. Outside food is not permitted during the experience (water bottles are welcome).

Farmyard Frolic

This one-hour experience is especially loved by younger children, shy animal lovers, and families seeking a calm, welcoming environment where children can explore at their own pace. Many families with sensory-sensitive or special-needs children also appreciate the smaller group atmosphere and relaxed structure.

Hoot’s Hollow Farm birthday parties are filled with the kinds of experiences children remember — horseback riding, farm animals, ceramic painting, an egg hunt to the Enchanted Cottage, bubbles, a bouncy house, personalized decorations, and plenty of time to celebrate.

Our 4-hour birthday package is $700 for up to 20 total guests, including children and adults.

We take care of the activities and much of the party setup so parents can relax and enjoy the day too.

Explore Our Birthday Parties

Hoot’s Hollow Farm offers enriching, hands-on educational field trips for preschools, homeschool groups, charter schools, scout troops, TK programs, and elementary-aged students.

Our educational farm experiences combine animal interaction, creativity, outdoor exploration, beginner horsemanship, and agricultural education into a fun and memorable day children will talk about long after they leave the farm.

Field trips typically include:

• Animal encounters with chickens, bunnies, quail, and horses

Meet the Hens of Hoot’s Hollow Farm

Cluck, cluck! We’re just a few of the happy hens at Hoot’s Hollow farm, and we have over 300 sisters scratching and pecking beside us. Together, we lay the most beautiful green, blue, brown, and white eggs you’ve ever seen—Diane (our farmer) calls them her Rainbow Eggs. When you open a carton, it looks like a box of candy… all natural and laid with love!

Diane is licensed by the State of California as a small flock egg producer, and she takes amazing care of us. Every morning we stretch our wings, roam the farm, nibble tasty treats we find in the pasture, and then finish the day with scrumptious feed and our all-time favorite—fresh alfalfa! (It’s our secret to those richly colored orange yolks.)

We work our feathers off laying eggs so Diane can share them with families in Bonita, Eastlake, and beyond. There’s nothing quite like a truly fresh the-same-day-it-was-laid egg from a happy hen.

Our delicious Rainbow Eggs are $10 per dozen and are available for pickup only right here at the farm.
